It's 1992 in Los Angeles Southern California , a transformation is
about to take place that will undoubtedly be recognized as a
pivotal point in the history of music. Immersed in hip hop and
seeking new avenues of expression, a 14 year old breaker/graffiti
artist picks up a steno pad and a ball point and scribes the first
of many rhymes that subsist deep in his soul. Deeply inspired by
innovators like De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Pharcyde, Souls
of Mischief. The ParanormL's main goal in music is to keep in the
tradition of these unique artists by delving deep into his subject
matter and creating the most extreme music with meaning and a
message for all those who would like to uplift the mind instead of
downgrade like the commercial rap being shoved down our throats.
The ParanormL is here to break this terrible trend and bring back
the true reason and artform in which True Hip Hop (not rap) was
created.
Recordings over 6 albums worth of (released and unrelased) material
since 1996 and over a 170 songs later The ParanormL has created his
own sound and paradigm changing the mundane sounds of Hip Hop.
Utilizing his cadence and vast vocabulary to relate to every
subject imaginable following in the foot steps of his idol Bob
Marley. Deep concepts and meaning full lyricism is The ParanormL's
goal as an artist bending time and space via his quantum leaping
mind and creative wordsplay mixed with the skills of well
experienced author.
The ParanormL sets him self apart from the rest by striving to stay
the most diverse lyricist in hip hop. Doing albums that consist of
a vast array of vibes and sounds killing the monotony and keeping
things fresh. Being a huge fan of the whole Jazz era, The ParanormL
was greatly inspired by the ones who created the music hip hop has
been sampling for over 3 decades. From the likes of John Coltrane,
Count Basie, Gershwin to Sarah Vaughn & Ella you will defintely
hear the influence in his scat styled delivery.
The ParanormL has allways done the so called "Abstract Hip-Hop" and
what he now calls "Jazz-Hop" since his conception into being a full
time artist. There for you will never get the same thing from this
cat and suprise is definite when listening to his catalog of music.
Expect the un-expected and a ahead of its time rhymes. The
ParanormL's next projects will be strictly Jazz orientated and more
melodic than usual, along with more futuristic hip hop for his
underground heads like The Beyonders with co Beyonder Phoenix
Orion. The ParanormL will not stop intill righteous music runs the
airwaves and television, Intill wackness no longer rules the Hip
Hop civilization and the corperate driven Hip Hop gets what it
deserves.
