RELNOTES..:
Luke Dzierzek is a name that has made a massive impact on electronic music in
the past eighteen months. With huge basslines, heavy electro stabs and admirers
including the likes of Sasha and Zabiela it's no wonder why. The release of his
forward thinking productions have gained many fans the world over and resulted
in Dzierzek being recognised as one of the planet's finest up-and-coming
talents. 'One Day' and 'Echo' received acclaim from both clubbers and
journalists alike, with the EP staying in the Buzz Chart for two weeks and being
aired three times on Pete Tong's Essential Selection Show. This was followed by
'Timeless' which after its release in October was at number 1 on DJ downloads
Top 10 chart for four weeks and was eventually the websites 2nd most downloaded
track of 2005. Fast forward to 2006 and it would have been easy for Luke to have
taken his foot off the pedal however he has been quick to follow up such efforts
with yet more amazing productions. Luke recently completed a remix of UNKLE,
following superb remix work for King Unique, and Minilogue. He has also released
his 'Randoms & Wrongens' EP co-produced with fellow Futurism artist Nick
Liousias. The EP has received major DJ support, was licensed along with 'Echo'
to Dave Seaman's 2006 Renaissance compilation and is set to be one of the
biggest releases on Silver Planet this year. Luke is now looking to spread his
wings by causing as much devastation behind the decks as in the studio. Gigs
have come in thick and fast with Dzierzek showcasing his awesome sound at The
Level Lounge in Rio de Janeiro and Kraemer in Belo Horizonte (both in Brazil),
The Global Club in Lithuania, The Ambassada Club in Ljublijana, Slovenia where
he headlined with Eric Prydz infront of 2000 people, ClubClass in Maidstone,
alongside Sander Klienenberg and Nic Fanciulli, Bedrock at Turnmills in London,
The Mint Club in Leeds and Godskitchen in Birmingham. And with future gigs
already confirmed for Eat My Music in Copenhagen, 7am in Warsaw, Renaissance at
The Cross, ClubClass at Ministry Of Sound and Platform 12 at The Key (all in
London), The Opera House in Bournemouth and Cool House in Cardiff amongst
others, as well as major tours of USA, South America and Australia, it's clear
that he is set to only get busier!!
