Red Room Cinema's long-awaited debut album is here, and it will especially
benefit those who have since robbed themselves of their live performances. RRC
wanders past each memberÆs ego on the stage, in the studio, and even in the few
lyrics attached to their music. Instead, RRC focuses on collective energy that
offers nothing short of an individual experience. There are two songs on this
album that will surprise established fans: ôTreeburst in Bastogneö is the
first. Anthony Maltese opens up his voice into ôLet go of all the things
haunting you,ö and closes with ôItÆs how the orange sun melts away. Its absence
grips ætil we suffocate.ö The theme of day and night continues up the spine of
the album into the 11-minute song titled, ôàAt Long Last the Sun has Set, and
the Earth Drifts into a Much Needed Slumber.ö A little over 6 minutes into the
piece, something collapses. The music rises up, steadies itself, divulges
itself into a frenetic pathos, and then falls back into the same pattern with a
relentless effort. ItÆs the perfect song to segue into ôMoonrace,ö which shakes
you into a surreal state. Although this album heavily illustrates the beginning
and the end, it also follows a strong wind as it passes through a vast landscape
of uninvestigated avenues. Release your inhibitions and reclaim yourself with
