Formed in the Danish festival city Roskilde, the 4-piece band
Printer joined as a rock band. After the first two weeks, the
drummer was up behind a keyboard and the guy brought in as
guitar player never left his laptop. Getting more and more
integrated as a band by interconnecting instruments through
the computer, the name Printer became the best way to
parallel this merge between digital and analogue.
After 3 releases in Denmark and Japan, Printer is now ready
the jump the canal and with the help of Adrian Recordings
take their music to a broader audience.
On recent works the band has taken a more dirty and
danceable; say techno, approach, although still maintaining
the emotional and intellectual focus. ItÆs music to be moved
by whether itÆll be on the dance floor or in your sofa. ItÆs
electronic pop music at its best. And itÆs got power and
depth. Add to that an interest for design and a live show of
drinking-beer-energy and youÆll get one of the best Danish
acts since.... Laid Back.
After almost lost focus a couple of years ago the band was
invited to play the Danish festival in Swedish Norberg. The
show went so well, the energy still remains, the band took
this as a righteous proof that they were on the right track
with the new more dance oriented tracks. Solely on reputation
from that one show, the band went on a Danish tour.
Adrian Recordings is this fall releasing an EP with 5 tracks.
ItÆs an appetizer and a state of art. Two tracks from the
upcoming album ôI Can Take Moreö, two tracks from the bands
first album ôRhizomatic Babyö (released in Denmark on Statler
& Waldorf) and one live track that you canÆt find elsewhere.
