The Elation brings a whole new meaning to indie rock as we know it.
Evolving from the Chicago scene only a year ago, the band ensures
countless measures of compelling keyboard tones, drum beats, and
soothing guitar riffs. When joining the music scene in Chicago, The
Elation had one thing in mind. It was not to get rich or signed to a major
label, but to make and extensive list of non materialistic songs. The Elation
puts every ounce of energy and experience into their song writing. The
most shocking thing about this band and what makes them differ from
others is that they don't sing about breakups or heartaches. They put
effort into songwriting and sing about living, experiences, and dreaming
of the future. With songs like "Lifetime Would Make A Movie About
This," a young girl's long struggle of being an actress is expressed in
many ways . Songs of varied nature and content can be found throughout
their self titled debut E.P. The Elation plans to take the Midwest by storm
and continue from there, to gain a following throughout the United States.
