"Minimal House" they say, which I happen to like (if we must have
these snappy labels) more than "neo-Munich Disco" or some such
nonsense. Dry robotic drum loops with a bouncy "house" flare, simple
arrangements heavy on the interweaving of delicate piano and flute-
like (but definitely synthetic) elements. Everything remains
unbelievably funky, considering the bare-bones sound palette being
used. Neat VW Bug-happy package, with an even neater sticker inside.
Bitchen. Track 9, "Drives Me Up the Wall," is one of those
repetitive, endless, mechanical "grooves" that wins me over no matter
what genre of music we're talking about. "Minimal House"? Why, yes,
