The ante has been well and truly upped with this sick new twelve from Bass Clef - easily outstripping his
rather marvellous "A Smile Is A Curve That Straightens Most Things" album and recent "Hackney
Centralist EP" to make for his strongest, most evolved dancefloor killer to date. Opening track "One
Hundred Point Three" is just immense, an inverted 2-step reduction filtered through an arpegiated bassline
that's just totally relentless, the man behind the controls getting busy with some clever edits and dancefloor
manipulations that are impossible to describe- but somehow bring to mind a cross between Mika Vainio,
Burial and Errorsmith. Sounds sick - and, boy, it really is. "23 Tunnel Chords" follows and makes more
traditional use of the snares and heavy bass drops, but flip over and you find yourself in the presence of the
immense "Get On The A10 And Drive And Drive". Cut at 45 it dominates the side and the twelve with it's
demented snares and barely contained low-end rubs, fed through squashed filters and emerging at the
other end with some sublime Detroit-y chords that turn the whole thing into a mighty 2-step anthem that'll
just wreck the dance. Totally immense twelve and several cuts above the bog standard dubstep that
seems to be picking up pace recently. If you bagged last week's shocking Rustie twelve, snap these
