│ Initially flirting with the popular sound of epic trance, Transient │
│ began with a slew of releases from Disco Volante and Floorplay (who │
│ later had a hand in founding Automatic). Transient quickly found their │
│ groove however, accumulating a respectable stable of artists that │
│ includes Astral Projection, Cosmosis, and Slide (who has, sadly, moved │
│ on to greener pastures). In recent years Transient has been seen to be │
│ heading in a more commercial direction with clubby compilation releases │
│ and distinctly non-psychedelic singles. Whether the mainstream is │
│ catching on or not is open for debate, but one thing is for certain - │
│ Transient remains a force to be reckoned with in the U.K. trance-dance │
│ scene. In 2001 Transient began to label certain 12" singles as │
│ "Classic", seperating the more tranced-out sounds of years past from │
│ their modern progressive offerings. │
