:::: highly influential for defining the rich dynamics of the 
:::: big band sound during the heyday of modern jazz. Lalo Schifrin, 
:::: Henry Mancini and even Igor Stravinsky serve as additional 
:::: reference points. The record also marks a bold new step in the
