Monk and Canatella are the legendary BreakBeat/Indie/Electro outfit
from Bristol, England (the Electro came later). The band are
renowned for their ground breaking debut album in 1996 on Cup Of
Tea Records "Care In The Community," and their crazy energetic live
shows that followed. The band later moved to Telstar and released a
second album "Do Community Service." They parted company with the
label shortly afterwards. Monk and Canatella are said to be
currently working on a new album due for release in 2007.
Here is their classic "I Can Water My Plants" marrying Postcard
indie angst to tiptop beats and backed by 2 songs including "Trout"
a DJ Food style cinematic cut.
