This is indeed a varied selection, in the good sense of the word.
From 1994, released by the end of the acid-jazz craze, this genre &
feel is probably the common factor between these tracks ranging
from the Pharcyde anthem "passin' me by" and the 100% Marseille
IAM's killer-classic "Je Danse Le Mia" to the early St-Germain NYC
deep house influenced "My mama said" and FSOL's ambient electronic
classic "Cascade". This is completed by arab-electronic, ragga and
more. All together, this makes up a very consistent and enjoyable
selection -Paris' Radio Nova's trademark- that didnt age as much as
i would have expected.
And yes, if you were too young (i dont know how else you could have
escaped it back then), maybe Beatiful People's "If 60's were 90's"
might give u back a little of that '94 summer feel while sitting in
front of ur beloved computer, swapping between those IRC windows ;p
Cheers, and enjoy your summer !
PS: Some tracks feature vinyl pops & crackles. This is a CD rip.
Make your own conclusions. What the artist wants...
