the drum and bass scene has been out of the limelight (after the
initial hype) for a while now and has been slowly evolving and
improving (there's alot of good d'n'b out there at the moment!)
- in fact, i'm not sure if 2-step would be here if it wasn't for
drum and bass - and it has definately played a big part in the
broken beat scene with producers like 4hero, domu, seiji, nubian
mindz coming from a d'n'b background (listen to the 2000 black
label for evidence).
this is one of my favourites from last year featuring nathan
haines on saxophone - it's just a groove, but i love it!
