once again compost black label is coming up big time! for release
#23 we got hold on up-and-coming deep house duo manuel tur &
dplay. these two youngsters have just released the much praised
portamento ep on freerange which is gettin love from everyone and
yo mama (hipp-e, kerri chandler, fred everything, karizma...)
closely followed by the hypnotic rest your senses ep on drumpoet
community. but like tic-tac-toe they hit three in a row and give
you an other massive three tracker on black label!

altough being comparative young, manuel tur & dplay are two real
kids being into it. they have soaked up house culture with every
pore and make you feel this when listening to their productions.
every track displays not only an infelt deepness and warmth but
also a profound internalized understanding of the groove. there is
nothing constructed about the music. manuel and dirk act on
instinct straight from the heart but with a certain musical
straightness, which comparable can only be found within the
     innervision posse.

clock shift is a very deep but groovy track made to enchant the
crowd with its playful melody. on the flip side things are spicing
up a little bit. move comes up with a techy bass line while
concord - the best kept secret of this ep - is building slowly and
then hits you after the minute mark with the full load cutting
     synth stabs. infectious grooves!!!

     quotes:

yo nice tracks....will be in my box for early evening gigs
     tomas barfod

i really like the clock shift track and the move !!.. nice tight
drum with dope stabs as implayin this sundya night with djulz and
christian from ame those tracks will be perfect for that night! so
that will be good for the audiance !!..
     franck roger

thanx for sending this great music again.. well i can already say
that i am a fan of these guys already... even though its deep
stuff for me, i just love it.. and its perfect for early morning
sets! i think my favorite one of there is "move" chordy and old
school... will play for sure.. starting this we
     reynold (trenton records)

'again, this sort of this isn't supposed to be my bag, being a
little hip hop boy, you know? but i find myself on the right end
of a rainy day and i see how this would murder a big soundsystem
and really keep the people happy on a sunday afternoon. clock
shift has a lovely build, so lovely that when it comes around the
final corner, no one will deny its power. move is most club
friendly and might work as a great dj tool, and conchord is the
pick of the bunch, hypnotic as a motherfucker. cool stuff cbl!
     huwston (knowfoowl/bebop & rocksteady)

this is once again top quality dancefloor
     electronicsssssssssss....
     full support from me .
     alex attias

another lovely deep number that i will play everywhere
     laurent garnier

very nice ep indeed. all tracks are very playable for me.
     tiger stripes

this is cool really nice warm vibes perfect for the new residency
     at 205 club in nyc
     james friedman

thanx for the promos. as usual, i'm really into the music you
release. i've been playing (and charting) "move" and "concord" for
a month, as manuel tur and i have a common friend who gave me the
tracks. very good reactions on dancefloors. "clock shift", that i
didnt know, is as good the two other tracks. great record.
     llorca

i work with james lavelle- and i`m really feeling this release
here and i`m sure james will as well. my favourite track here is
conchord- amazing production. want to hear more form this a lot.
     matthew puffett & james lavelle

all round a great record... i've been feeling all of manuel and
dplay's recent output and this release is no exception. all three
are cool but concord stands out for me.
     john shepheard

nice three tracks. my favourite track is clock shift, deeper
track, a little pretty melody. i love this one!!!
     jun matsuoka (patchworks ginger xpress)

love all three tracks and will play and support for sure.
difficult to say which is my favorite. my only criticism is that
they all sound pretty similar....i guess this is a double edged
sword...good for developing a sound but i guess people want to
keep hearing an evolution in the sound.
     will saul (simple records/aus music)
