Part of the mid-2000s post-punk revival, Brooklyn
avant-gardists Gang Gang Dance eschew traditional
song structure in favor of a sonic maelstrom of
kitchen-sink percussion, tribal chanting, and
strangely organic discord. RETINA RIDDIM
exemplifies the band's aesthetic sensibilities
with audio samples of their music set to
documentary footage, live-performance clips, and
video imagery created by band member and visual
artist Brian DeGraw.
