Duran Duran's "Girls On Film" is rendered almost unidentifiable on
the sixth Secret Mixes Fixes EP, turning the track on its head as a
percussive house chug with only a fraction of the guitar chords in
the third phase. Siouxsie & The Banshees' "Cities In Dust" forms
the basis of next cut, which has been completely rearranged into
the kind of new wave jam that used to rock Detroit's Music
Institute before the invention of techno. Bauhaus offshoot Tones On
Tail recorded "There's Only One" in 1982 and this high speed
re-edit continues the 80s English theme. Last up is a cheeky take
on Tom Tom Club's "Wordy Rappinghood".
