wixel's combination of electronics and real life guitars
arouses a timbre in which one can easily recognize the
influence of aphex twin, m·m, steve reich, autechre...
besides, the songs hint sounds from jazz (mail me to
finland), 80's underground (run) and japanese music (you
tried). this results in a warm en relaxed record with
noisy and sharp edges.
wixel on his record: "i love melancholic music like gybe!
and cat power a lot, and tried to translate this into
electronic music. this emotional aspect is reinforced by
the use of 'real' instruments. regular a guitar turns up,
and once in a while a piano- or organmelody attracts
attention."
