We are proud to say that Featurecast will be our next release, and you might
already know of Lee from his various releases on Catskills or his song "Channel
Surfing" which was featured on one of the early i-Pod Commercials. His music is
a cornucopia of everything you think you've heard with a little bit of stuff you
wish you knew put together with that classic hip hop sensibility.
First up "Monkey" is an up-tempo funky organ jam that will work for any
situation, just check the horns and bass on this baby. The 2nd song "Some Lovin"
is a straight up pumping b-boy jam, think 80's hip hop, 70's guitars, tight
scratches and loud banging drums and your almost there..
"Go with my Flow" starts off the "B" side showing that Featurecast isn't afraid
of a 4/4 groove, rocking that disco rap style with skill this song just rocks
the floor. (Trust us)
He chose to close the EP out with "Story Time", which must of took forever to
piece together, this song is a story for the kiddies and the kid in all of us
and is in the same vein as Double Dee and Steinski's "Lessons" or Avalanches
"Frontier Psy."
