     Review:

     Probably the best-known release by the first incarnation of the
     Flying Luttenbachers, as well as their final album before
     imploding after the departure of co-leader Ken Vandermark, Destroy
     All Music sounds just as uncompromising and passionate as it did
     upon its initial 1994 release. Destroy All Music Revisited adds
     seven previously unreleased songs recorded during the same
     sessions, none of them filler; indeed, the howling, Captain
     Beefheart-like "The Critic Stomp" and the aptly-named exercise in
     program music "Coffeehouse In Flames" are arguably the most
     satisfying tracks of the lot. In any incarnation, this album is
     that rarity, a collision between free jazz and full-on rock that
     gives both sides equal space. The grinding fuzz-punk stomp of
     "Final Variation on a Theme entitled 'Attack Sequence'" fits
     perfectly next to the nearly traditional post-bop of "Tiamat en
     Arc," and the remaining songs swing back and forth between those
     two stylistic extremes, often within the same song. Both Ken
     Vandermark and Weasel Walter did excellent work in a
     widely-divergent number of styles after the sessions captured on
     Destroy All Monsters Revisited, but this is the album where it
