Release Notes:

joy division's career has often been shrouded by
myths, but the truth is surprisingly simple: over a
period of several months, joy division transformed
themselves from run of the mill punk wannabes into
the creators of one of the most atmospheric,
disturbing and influential debut albums ever
recorded.

'unknown pleasures' was the first and never
surpassed timeless debut album from joy division
released in 1979. as each year passes, their
influence has become greater. it is a dark
masterpiece and includes the classics 'she's lost
control', 'shadowplay' and 'disorder'.

to mark the release of the anton corbijn directed
'control' movie and as a timely reminder to the
sadly departed tony wilson, all three legendary
albums have been remastered and expanded and now
include a live set unique to each one.

'unknown pleasures' comes featuring a twelve track
live set from the factory, manchester recorded in
1980.
