Lady Escape was founded in Helsinki during the summer '04. First
conceived by Joona, Mikko and Teemu. Drummer Ilari and keyboard
player/singer Seidi joined Lady Escape at the beginning of autumn 04.
This line-up has remained the same.
"In the beginning of autumn 2004 we rehearsed at Joona's home but few
months later we found a proper rehearsal space and even got money to
buy amps and microphones that work. We played our first gig in October
'04 and the first demo recording took place in November.
In the year 2005 we played a lot of gigs with many different bands. We
also achieved second place in the biggest band contest in Finland.
Sure it was a nice suprise. Soon after that we started working on our
first ep with producer Janne ─yrΣvΣinen and six months later (official
release date was 11th of November 2005) Sally ep was released through
a small d-i-y-label called Kaakao Records. Sally helped us getting new
contacts and better gigs around Finland (and is now sold out). Second
ep Messy Envelopes was released 22nd of May 2007. Messy Envelopes is
very honest and you could say that our sound is much more harsher than
before. Check out the live-section and come to see our shows. They
will make your brains melt."
