Amazing acoustic ethno/folk for fans of Stephan Micus. Brilliant album!

Antony Boast (å 2006) of Camberley, Surrey (UK) was given his first guitar
at the age of eleven, at that time inspired by the instrumental music of
The Shadows, Duane Eddy, and other guitar groups.
At fifteen his passion changed towards the blues music coming out of
America, with favorites B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Hubert Sumlin, and some
     rocking music from Chick Berry.
Antony spent the rest of his teenage years playing blues guitar with
various groups, and backing-up visiting blues artists from the USA such as
Champion Jack Dupree, Snooky Prior, Doctor Ross, Eddie Burns etc, in clubs,
in and around the London area. In the 70's he started touring with his band
Junior Pilots, later to become Boast in Europe, and after receiving offers
of work for musical productions, stayed on in Belgium.
A period of playing guitar, or arranging, conducting and writing for more
than 50 different musicals gave him a lot of experience in all styles of
music. His ever growing collection of stringed instruments started to get
used in the musicals, adding much colour to the music...
With his duo Jazz az Jazz he performed in New York, Montreal, Venezuela and
Holland, Germany, France and Belgium, and recorded the album 1+1=1 with
     guest Toots Thielemans on harmonica.
After finding a Viola Braguesa in Portugal, and several trips around India,
Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore - where he picked up an impressive array
of weird and wonderful string instruments, Antony started to explore a
whole new world of musical possibilities, which eventually lead to his
first cd Braga-Raga. After this cd came Braga-Blue, Quiet Latitudes (with
Walter), and Modave, a very meditative guitar improvisation.
Tony sadly passed away in January 2006 due to complications of a lung
infection. May you rest in peace, Tony.
