bleak, candid album that chronicles the breakdown of
a relationship, it's up there with Bob Dylan's Blood
On The Tracks, Peter Hammill's Over and Marvin
Gaye's Here, My Dear in that slender canon of
painful greats. It was also the last of John
Martyn's classic albums for Island Records. It
sounds different to his previous work. It is angry,
fussy, mellow. When it was released in October 1980,
it had been finished for over a year. Features 18
Bonus Tracks including Previously Unreleased demos
and live performances from The Old Grey Whistle
Test, Rock Goes To College plus the Dub Mix of
