RELEASE NOTES:
A Smile From The Trenches is a screamo rock group out of Grand
Junction, Colorado. They have been a band for a little over a year
now. They are a very ambitious group of musicians, and there's a
great market for their sound at present. They often get compared
to The Used, Senses Fail, Escape The Fate, and From First To Last,
among others. Their blend of post-hardcore songwriting with an
emphasis on guitars and big infectious sing-along choruses has won
a lot of initial praise. In June and July, they went out on their
first tour around the West. The group sold out of their
merchandise midway through the dates, and placed an additional
order to meet the demand. It's been great to see crowds who are
unfamiliar with the group become fans during the course of an
ASFTT set. In select markets such as Denver, Las Vegas, Phoenix,
Albuquerque and Casper, the kids already know all the words and
are singing along. In October, they played a show with Escape The
Fate in Las Vegas and set a new band record for sales in a single
night. They've also recently played with Dance Gavin Dance, Lorene
Drive, LoveHateHero, Sky Eats Airplane, Emarosa, Grace Gale and
California natives National Product, who actually had a hand in
producing their first EP.
