The pedigree of Hide Your Daughters reads like a
whoÆs who of Winnipeg Underground music. Digging
into the past and present of each contributing

mode, Projektor, Electro Quarterstaff, Meatrack,
Kittens, Boldface Industry, and Malefaction, and if
there is such a thing as a Winnipeg Underground
supergroup û HYD is it.

Or maybe more correctly, itÆs not about any
Winnipeg past. Most fans of HYD are too young to
remember the true forerunners of todayÆs hard rock
bands that were unafraid to experiment, arrange,
and explode the ideas expected of the genre. HYD
has dug deep in the archives of forgotten 70Æs
masterpieces and reinvented some of those elements
into their repertoire, and tap even more seasoned
