alex attias is a man of many guises. in the past decade the on the
go producer from lausanne has released a remarkable number of
records under monikers like beatless, catalyst, freedom soundz or
mustang. nonetheless impressive is the list of acts that called
him in for remix duties: 4hero, joakim, roni size, tony allen,
ennio morricone and incognito. most recently dennis ferrer picked
attias remix of brifo's "mi piano rofo" for the in the house
compilation on defected and after the rose ep on num records alex
is about to drop his second solo release for 2007 on compost black
     label.

"let the rhythm get in" is an exclusive unreleased track from the
mustang project to abridge the waiting time for the next album.
the song was originally recorded with vocals but then alex
prefered the dub version for the black label release. the ep gets
topped off by two dope remixes and some kind of generations clash.
first up we got the compost heavyweights jan krause and michi
mettke - down since day one - reminding us that beanfield is still
a name to count on. the second remix is done by quarion who made
his debut on compost just some months ago with his stunning karasu
ep on the drumpoet community sub label.

alex attias is currently working side by side with his brother
stephane on a more dancefloor orientated style than before. the
project name is simply attias and boasts with releases on still
music, reincarnation, planet e and freedom soundz. mustang will
return with fresh goodies probably early next year.

     quotes:

finding who we are ft. colonel red-quarion dub its definitly my
favorite mix! greate production, deep and melow!! love it! allways
good quality!! full suport!!! - pippi

would like to rock the unreleased dub! i think that i'll be able
to play this one out!deep, moody electronic house! - josh wink

sehr sch÷ne ep, deepe dubs, bouncing beats, der dancefloor groovt!
favoriten: "let the rhythm get it" und "everchanging time" -
     marlow (moonharbour)

very nice unreleased dub would love to play that - laurent garnier

feeling this one, great builder, also hard to boot!, sweet to see
quarion on remix duties & this one's a killer!... he's on his way,
     watch out! - atjazz/mantis

mustang can always be relied on to come through with the jazz-drum
techno and he does it nicely on the dub of let the rhythm get in.
like the slow build on this one - ennio styles

quarion dub is very cool. sounds like mr v. or quentin harris.
good one! let the rhythm get it it's also nice. good production.
start with good drums and then turn deep and tecky. i'll play it.
beanfield rmx is good too. great compost black label release!! -
     nacho velasco

i find the release to be a beautifully dark and melancholic
journey into the now present fall season.
enjoying both mixes equally although beanfields' will be my
choice. - alejandro asencio (azuli records)

"let the rhythm get in (unreleased dub version) sounds
great...looking forward to play it! full support!" - kikko solaris

colonel red is a huge man to me ! happy to receive a piece of
music with him on it !! "let the rythm get in" is a good starter i
think. put it on a dancefloor when the club open, it's perfect.
"everchanging time" is a real cool downtempo song, like it. but,
usually colonel red is more impressive vocally wise. "finding who
we are" is the track of the record! love it !! - greg kozo

this one's quite nice on black label. deep house and broken sounds
tied together very well. all 3 are quality. tight! - eddit (future
     classic)
