Release Notes:

ItÆs been 4 years since we last heard from Orange
Can. In that time, the band have negotiated disaster
and heartache, overcoming a serious back injury and
a battle against prescription drugs. But now,
brothers James and Jason are back together and have
written and produced Exit Chasing, an album of
cascading, rhythmic splendour.

Easing itself slowly into your ears with All Up
There, a meandering, gently psychedelic ode
reminiscent of The Beta Band and prog-rock legends,
Pink Floyd, Orange Can set their stall out
immediately; Exit Chasing is heading for space!
Download single So Bright 2 (released 14th may) is a
pulsing, percussive drone with soaring, Peter
Gabriel-esque vocals, Sapphire Drive, a blissful,
acoustic melee and Eyes Wide, a stunning, folky
ballad. Ending with the 10-minute Fortified, a
distillation of the entire album with it's fuzzy
funk, flying melody and melange of flittering sound,
Exit Chasing is a massage for mind, body and ears.

The brothers Aslett began their musical careers,
buoyed by a love of acid house, Hendrix and The
Stone Roses (influences that can still be heard
today), in 1998 when their first home-recorded
album, Entrance High-Rise, won them a deal with
Regal Records. This was followed by the Home Burns
album and gigs (with quadraphonic sound, projects
and animation) taking in Glastonbury and Reading. In
their time, Orange Can have been described as
"sumptuous, beautiful music" by Time Out, "lovely,
rhythmic and enchanting" by Mojo magazine and
"psychedelia at its most intoxicating" by The Times.

Enjoy!
