Release Notes:

Album Description

During the '80's, The Windbreakers (along with
R.E.M., the dB's, and Let's Active) were one of the
leading lights of the southern pop edge of the
college music scene. The band released a handful of
albums and EP's (mostly on the great DB label out of
Atlanta) that found critical acclaim in Billboard
and Rolling Stone. Following a reunion in 2001, the
band has returned to record 2 new tracks (one
written by friend, Neilson Hubbard) with longtime
producer (and drummer) Mitch Easter included on this
release along with classics like New Red Shoes, Run,
and That Stupid Idea. This anthology covers 2
decades of great jangle pop - 20 tracks in all!

Musical guests include Mitch Easter, Faye Hunter
(Let's Active), Richard Barone (Bongos), Steve
Roback (Rain Parade),, Matt Piucci (Rain Parade),
Will Glenn (Rain Parade), Bruce Golden and Joe
Partridge

Tim Lee and Bobby Sutliff have been songwriting
legends of the South for over two decades, creating
and playing some of the most well-crafted, elegant
pop songs this side of Younger Than Yesterday.
Together as the Windbreakers and separately as solo
artists, the two are responsible for some twenty
records. Time Machine is a should've-been-Greatest
Hits with highlights from 20 years of recorded
material.
