This 10" is a bit of a weird one from the man who brought you Gotan
Project (Phillipe Cohen Solal), you now get this odd pairing of
country and tech house. I imagine a frown followed that line,
however I would urge you to have a listen. On side-A "Luna's Song"
is a stunning piece of Americana, string laden, whiskey soaked
vocals including the ace line 'Mama I wanna live where I can see
the stars', there is some fantastic banjo, croaking frogs and some
sweet boy / girl harmonies. Over on side-B Robag Wruhme puts in a
remix which on paper sounds disastrous but on vinyl really works.
Retaining the vocals, matching it with some piano and sticking a
house beat underneath, check it, weird but wonderful.
