the main track of jazzanova's second maxi-cd "no use" is a
wonderful smooth vocal song that features the clear voice of clara
hill (the berlin singer talent will soon release an own longplayer
on sonar kollektiv) and marks the follow up to their first maxi-cd
"soon" with remixes by domu, jazzy jeff and p smoovah. claraÆs
vocals are supported by some decently set percussive beats, a
groovy bass line and warm fender-rhodes sounds. the release of "no
use" is accomplished by a great video, which was shot by spanish
director hΘctor muelas.
this maxi-cd also features the superb track "that night", a
soul-jazz number based on broken beats, which, not only because of
vikter duplaix's vocals, spreads some deep sexy feelings. this
non-album track was so far only available on vinyl (jcr 026-1
"that night / days to come ep").
