█▓ ▓█
█░ Two days ago we came across a release named ░█
█░ "Unsecure_Place_Irc_Danger.READNFO_ALL_SITEOPS_AND_GROUPS_SCENE-IND" ░█
█░ . ░█
█░ A text file inside claims that several top Italian groups like BWA ░█
█░ and IDC or their members are running XDCC bots in channel #new-tek ░█
█░ on irc.darksin.net IRC network. They also claim these members are ░█
█░ selling FTP accounts for money. ░█
█░ I don't know about BWA or other groups but I can vouch that none ░█
█░ of the IDC members has any idea about what's going on in #new-tek, ░█
█░ nobody "works" there or used to work there. So from IDC's ░█
█░ standpoint, the accusations in that release are false. After all, ░█
█░ the release is tagged as "-IND" and offers no solid proof of any ░█
█░ kind about any group being a part of #new-tek (releases being ░█
█░ present on XDCC bots is no proof of anything; any group's releases ░█
█░ are being spread on IRC bots and other P2P networks all the time by ░█
█░ non-sceners), plus it was written in poor English. All that makes us ░█
█░ think it was written by some pathetic kid, not even affiliated with ░█
█░ a (known) scene group. We decided to prepare a reply even though we ░█
█░ are aware that obviously just about any 15-year old noob can upload ░█
█░ an -IND release full of crap to his local dump and get it spread by ░█
█░ autotraders. We just hope we won't see too much of those ░█
█░ in the future. ░█
