Release Notes
The final release of 2007 it's the turn of Bradler & Dualton (Mashtronic's
Mathias Bradler teamed up with Patrick Keuthen) to present a fantastic
original which inspires on first listen. It is one of the few tracks this year
which just had to be snapped up immediately - and our remixers were inspired
by it just as much as we were.
The original is - as the name suggests - tinged with Arabic-style sounds
layered superbly over a brooding, building track which sits somewhere in the
hotspot between progressive and tech. Haunting mandolins & pipes ring out from
a sizzling groove and the hats and synth embellishments propel the track.
The first remix is from one of the UK's most distinctive, cool yet popular
acts - Audiojack. Every track from this Northern duo has a unique quality and
they have almost certainly delivered one of their best works to date in the
form of this remix. Taking a more stripped, shuffled groove as the basis, they
slice & dice their way through the main parts to stunning effect.
Our second remix comes from Vorr, one third of Leeds trio Speculum. A dark,
tecchy intro gathers momentum as the main riff from the original is
increasingly mangled and the bassline grows into sonic machine-gun fire.
