|   |  underground at it's most superior, advanced, best? Lux Nigra is 5  |   |
|   |  years old and has relentlessly stuck to it's guns, releasing some  |   |
|   |  of the earliest material from the likes of Arovane, Pole, Zorn,    |   |
|   |  Herrmann and Kleine's Thaddi and an assortment of mentalist        |   |
|   |  operators that have set the world alight : Black Jewish Gays,      |   |
|   |  Karl Marx Stadt, Society Suckers and on and on. This isn't your    |   |
|   |  ordinary sorta comp - the scope of ideas makes for purely joyful   |   |
|   |  listening, spanning from deep home-fried electronic intricacy to   |   |
|   |  organic beatless textures, dub-seeped sparks, sample cut-up        |   |
|   |  frenzied mentalisms and breakcore convulsions that are more than   |   |
|   |  just your run of the mill sort of fodder - this is BERLIN after    |   |
|   |  all. From the fabulously absorbing Arovane re-working of Zorn's    |   |
|   |  twilight dubstyle "Knottel" to Black Jewish Guys ripping up the    |   |
|   |  mash-up ghetto-tech, incorporating some worrying spoken-word       |   |
|   |  edits courtesy of Warp's Something J and The Don. The Lords of     |   |
|   |  Gabba ' Society Suckers' reprise their winning ragga-stabs and     |   |
|   |  splattercore from the Karl Marx Stadt album, more adrenalin, more  |   |
|   |  volume, more...! Thaddi Herrmann and Michael Zorn's amazing        |   |
|   |  collaborative 'No Movement No Sound No Memories' project has gone  |   |
|   |  into legend with the Basic Channel crowd for its deep immersion    |   |
|   |  in washed dub-singed ambience, pulling-in one of the first ever    |   |
|   |  Pole remixes when it was first released and now, finally,          |   |
|   |  dropping in a brand new track - priceless. This is definitive      |   |
|   |  business - here's to another priceless 5 years. Awesome.           |   |
