David Moufang hooks up with his DJ partner Bouillabass for 'Sweet Heini', a track produced back in 1998
and still sounding like the very cutting edge of raw acid minimalism. The production is utterly uncluttered,
featuring only the most essential bleeps gloomy warehouse beats - it's great stuff. The flipside belongs to
Michel Baumann's Jackmate project, whose buccaneer initiates in a similarly minimal fashion, with a
contoured, bouncing bottom end. Towards the end, things take a turn toward the unexpected and some
jazzy marimba phrases come to dominate. Two very strong tracks from the Philpot camp.
