Release Notes:

Biography
The young Israeli singer/songwriter Noa Babayof is rapidly
establishing a presence on the new international folk scene; her
debut album From A Window To A Wall was recently recorded and
mixed by renowned Greg Weeks (from the Espers) at his studio in
Philadelphia and is set for a US/European release in spring 2008
on Weeks' new analog recording label Language of Stone
(distributed by Drag City).
From A Window To A Wall features lush string arrangements backing
up Noa's arresting singing style, which has been compared to such
icons as Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell. AnovA (Noa's Israeli
management and label) will be releasing From A Window To A Wall
locally in fall 2007 and a supporting tour of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem,
Haifa and Beersheva, featuring string arrangements.
Noa Babayof began playing piano at an early age, but switched to
guitar and songwriting after finding the magic of the Beatles,
Dylan and Joni Mitchell during her teenage years. She continued
her musical studies for two years at Israel's Rimon School of Jazz
and Contempoary Music and during this time began to solidify her
own personal writing style, which can be described as a
combination of traditional folk singing and trends in today's alt
-folk scene. She counts as her musical influences folk music
greats Baez, Mitchell and Dylan, together with modern stars like
the Espers, Diane Cluck and Smog.
