Release Notes:

This stopgap mini album from Jon Redfern features re-arranged interpretations of
songs from his debut LP May Be Some Time alongside an equal number of new tracks
slated to appear in a finalised version on Redfern's forthcoming second album,
due out next year. Songs both old and new were recorded in a stripped-down trio
format in the same session, giving some indication of what Redfern's live show
might sound like, and it all comes across rather beautifully. The vocal
harmonies and interlocking acoustic guitar parts serve the music exceedingly
well, and there's certainly been progress made in creative terms since that
self-financed debut full-length. If you haven't already latched onto this
songwriter's work, this stark, unembellished release seems like an excellent
point of entry.
