dXb Lucien Nicolet has collected a multitude of musical dXb
dXb studies - so called etudes - from the French word dXb
dXb etude meaning "study". dXb

dXb An etude is a short musical composition designed to dXb
dXb provide practice in a particular technical skill in dXb
dXb the performance of a solo instrument. Musical studies dXb
dXb have been composed since the 18th century and they dXb
dXb became an important musical genre since then. The dXb
dXb etudes that are most widely admired are those which dXb
dXb transcend their practical function and come to be dXb
dXb appreciated simply as music. And this is exactly what dXb
dXb Luciano is aiming for. dXb

dXb The four tracks on "etudes electroniques" (Cadenza dXb
dXb 21) find Luciano invigorated and inspired, putting dXb
dXb his talents into the service of dancefloors at their dXb

dXb With its delicate skip and its slow sunrise flare, dXb
dXb "Montana" opens the record on a blissful note, calm dXb
dXb and suffused with light. A hollow bass tone puffs dXb
dXb away like a glassblower as brittle rhythmic patterns dXb
dXb spin round and round. Swelling and drifting, dXb
dXb weightless and iridescent, it feels like chasing dawn dXb

dXb "Fochedrem" eases off the throttle and cracks an dXb
dXb ear-to-ear grin; a stubby one-note bass line beats dXb
dXb out a kind of cartoon funk as the answering riff dXb
dXb splinters and shapeshifts between cowbell, organ and dXb
dXb piano. It's as slippery as the deck of a storm-tossed dXb

dXb "Masalla" features liquid congas and feathered dXb
dXb metallic details that stand on end like magnetic dXb
dXb shavings. Laid-back and polyrhythmic, it's a future dXb
dXb Latin maysterpiece. The tune's centerpiece is a dXb
dXb slowly unspooling melody-a cadenza in the truest dXb
dXb sense of the word, in fact- that recalls the dXb
dXb syncopated refrains of Luciano's classic Live @ dXb
