C65 is a new label from the man like Mudd, featuring two edits who
we believe are by Stranger & Mudd himself, issuing them as
Muttranger. So what do you get apart from a very limited one-off?
"Sacramento Shuffle" is an awesome string laden disco bomb (could
be a cover of the Harlem Shuffle?), with tons of massive
percussion, ace little organ line, spliced in all the right places
for your dancefloor. On the B-side "Pacifico" is a brilliant lazy
space disco groove with soaring strings and lush pads, until right
in the middle where the track flips into a mad synth wobble and
then spins out into a brilliant horn section before the strings
come back. Awesome stuff.
