| The Heavy Circles are Edie Brickell and Harper Simon |

| the heavy circles" music is harper simon's gift to me. harper asked if i |
| wanted to join in on a jam session one late afternoon with him and his |
| drummer friend, rene lopez. they were upbeat and lots of fun and we had |
| an effortless chemistry making music together. songs came rolling out |
| and later that year we were invited to record for an evening at bryce |
| goggin's "trout recording studios" in brooklyn. it sounded and felt |
| great. after a few more jam/writing sessions with harper, rene and |
| later, yuka honda -another great vibing musician,we had enough songs for |
| a cd. i went in and sang and harper would go and produce it with bryce. |
| an eclectic group of harper's musician friends including martha |
| wainwright, yuka honda, robin dimaggio, sean lennon and matt johnson |
| came in and played on the tracks. then he'd send me the songs and they |
| just knocked me out. it's exciting and fresh to be in the mix of |
| harper's energy and aesthetic. he's a versatile guitarist, sensitive to |
| songwriting and smart as a producer. the heavy circles cd comes out feb. |
| 12th 2008 with a song available on i-tunes this nov. |
