'The Objects Don't Need Us' is the second album from
German producer Matthias Grubel following the really
quite decent 'Putting Holes in October Skies' and this
time in his quest for pure electronic pop perfection Grubel
enlists the help of some of his talented friends.

Mostly gifted in the vocal department these friends back
up Grubel's already assured vocal parts and give him the
kind of confidence he needs to conquer the slight shyness
of his debut.

The end results sounds not entirely unlike Telefon Tel Aviv
or Valgeir Sigurdsson, however he's a good enough producer
to get through this admirably and more often then not we're
onto Radiohead-friendly territory. Those of you in search of
some genuinely forward thinking electronic music should
look no further.
