nce again V.S.O.P., has re-issued a classic jazz vocal album on
CD, complete with original cover artwork, and everything. Many
people today may not remember Joy Bryan in the 1950's and it's
a shame, she was one of the finest jazz vocalists, in the same
class as June Christy and Chris Connor, if not as jazz oriented
as Anita O'Day. Bryan sings backed by Marty Paich's wongerful
arragements, who also happened to arrange Mel Torme's finest
lp's on Bethlehem. Paich's smooth and jazz oriented arrangemets
match Bryan's unique style. Bryan sounds somewhat Betty
Carter/Sarah Vaughan influenced, yet her style is all her own.
She takes plenty of chances and plays with the melody(which is
why she has so much in common with Carter), her range is
beautiful, and the opener "I Was Doing Allright" is swinging
and very jazzy. The entire cd is a gem, and Miss Bryan sings
several modernized 1920's tunes, she brings "Mississippi Mud"
back to life, away from the cotton fields, and with tactfuly
altered "politicly correst" lyrics. Overall a perfect TEN, cd
on a scale of one to ten. Thank you V.S.O.P. for keeping some
of the best jazz alive from the 50's, for a new generation of
jazz lovers.

After a few years, a few rippers who left, a few who joined, people
greeting,people yelling, people threatening, people helping, people
watching, we're still enjoying our aime: Let ppl listen to what they

last few years, maybe it's because of them that (against all odds) we
are still releasing and doing well, those know who they are, and we'll
thank forever.
We remind our beloved public, we're against all kind of distrubution,
don't search our rips neither in your preferred XDcc channel, nor in
your local 127.0.0.1 p2p program, We do not distribute ! But it's not
nice to buy when you do not know what you're buying.
As a matter of fact, DGN is a private group, and do not need rippers,
fast or slow shells, traders, t1+ sites, couriers, prewhores, and hw
suppliers, we need only a nice chalet in Switzerland/Canada or a Villa
in the Caribbean sea where to listen to some chillout music.
