Simon Webb, known to his friends as Si, is a new age
composer: A 21st century musician producing post-classical
music that reaches from the serene to the epic. Somewhere
between Enya and Vangelis, his music is the soundscape for a
movie in your head.
He is well known on the UK music scene for his beautifully
crafted television, film and theatre music, and over the past
ten years has regularly written for ITV, BBC, Channel 4, and
The National Theatre.
In 2006 he released a solo album, THE BRAIN, on his own
wwWebmusic label, and. encouraged by super-positive feedback
on MySpace, iTunes and CD Baby, Si has spent the last
eighteen months producing the follow-up album, A LEAP INTO
THE LIGHT.
A LEAP INTO THE LIGHT combines Si's talents with those of
long time musical associates, AFROCELT Martin Russell, and
legendary WHITESNAKE guitarist, Bernie Marsden. They went in
search of (and found they say) the 'Holy Grail' of guitar
sounds. You have to listen to the album to hear these
extraordinary sounds and soundscapes.
Planned for release in October in the UK and Europe, December
in Australia and Japan, and February 2008 in the USA and
Canada
