Release Notes:
Paul Starling writes and records in a treehouse
somewhere in Thousand Oaks California. Brian Wilson
& Paul McCartney sometimes fall into his dreams,
though only when its raining. Mr. Starling is known
to play a blue electric guitar, a sunburst bass, & a
70's style organ with rainbow knobs. Some have been
so bold as to classify his music as 'nautical rock',
but don't ever tell Paul that. He would start to
cry. It's not that he doesn't love the ocean, he
does, he just feels like his music is not easily
classified. Everyone seems to say that, but Paul
Starling believes it. On occasion Sir Paul will
write about such topics as: california missions,
frida kahlo, cemeteries, ghosts, bridges, & secret
rooms for bill monroe. Once asked what his favorite
album was Paul said "Pet Sounds anyone?" Mr.
Starling is currently set to play the wonderful
International Pop Overthrow in July, as well as the
famous Canyon Club in June. Recently Brian Wilson's
musical director Jeffrey Foskett praised Paul's
"Ghost Waltz" album by even playing it for his wife.
As you can see or not see, things are as they should
be in the world of Paul Starling.
