A last minute treat for us all in the shape of this killer hour-long mix cd from To Rococo Rot founding
member and Raster Noton recording artist Robert Lippok, a man noted for his broad and impeccable taste
in music, here bringing together a diverse and mindboggling selection of unknown gems from the far
corners of his record shelves. Taking in strands of skewed pop, modern classical, folk, anti-folk, spoken
word, dreampop, post-rock, electronic music and even unknown material from his own archives, its just a
perfect mix of style and narrative, not that we ever expected anything less. Having followed his music over
the last 10 years to the extent that you could almost call us obsessive, you can imagine how delighted we
were to get this in, but we can honestly say that it is truly the most enjoyable mixtape we've heard this year
and is one of the very few we can remember being universally loved by pretty much everyone and anyone
who's happened to walk through these doors when its been on this last week. At less than a fiver we
reckon it's something a little special and a bargain to boot, who'd have thought that this sort of thing would
arrive so late in the day? We only have a very limited supply - make sure to pick one up quick if you want a
copy. Magic.
