│ Something for the oldskoolers: │
│ │
│ DJ Royal Rocker and MC Grand-Pubah (nope, not │
│ THAT one...) rocked a hard electro/hip-hop sound │
│ with help from Dave (better known as LA Kid) │
│ from the Tuff Crew - and if you liked the │
│ 'Phanjam' LP that The Krowned ones shared with │
│ the Tuff Crew back in '87, then you'll love this │
│ album. │
│ │
│ High And Mighty dropped a tribute in more recent │
│ years to one of the big tracks on this album: │
│ 'B-Boy Document' ("Check it out hip-hoppers, get │
│ your tapedecks ready - for the next few minutes │
│ I'm a rock rhyme-steady", as sampled by Foreign │
│ Legion in recent years) . Definitely an │
│ underground classic track if ever you heard one. │
│ 'Paper Chase' gets things started off correctly │
│ with a PE-esque beat and plenty of hard │
│ scratching and stabs throughout and on 'Confetti │
│ Emcees' the laid-back beat sounds like it │
│ wouldn't be out of place on some of the early │
│ NWA material with a sparse guitar loop and a │
│ kicking drum pattern. 'Let The Party Rock' is as │
│ close to the Tuff Crew sound as you could go │
│ without actually wreckin' shop and entering the │
│ danger zone - another hard beat and slinky │
│ bassline prevails - while on 'Non Stop Hip Hop' │
│ things get a little catchier. You get two │
│ different remixes of 'Kick The Ball' (sadly, the │
│ original version on the 'Phanjam' album isn't │
│ here) on here as well... │

│ This album was re-released in '97 as a 10 track │
│ album, this is the original. │

│ CMS was established in 1998 due to the fact that nobody was │
│ releasing slept on hiphop. In 2g, cms has developed into one of │
│ the deepest mp3 crews on Efnet. People have came and left, but │
│ the legacy lives on. And about competition, we don't compete with │
│ other groups, we compete with ourselves. │
