|  This release is by far our most cherished project yet. Joe Jack Talcum's  |
|  Home Recordings collection is 24 tracks spanning 13 years of Talcum's     |
|  musical career. Best known as the guitarist and vocalist for the band     |
|  the Dead Milkmen, this CD pays homage to Joe Jack Talcum's solo           |
|  recordings, while only the tip of the iceberg of Joe Jack's complete      |
|  music works, it still remains as an important collection of some of       |
|  Joe's best loved songs. Joe's honest song writing and unique vocal and    |
|  instrumental styles have clearly developed over the years and this        |
|  collection serves as a testament to Joe's talent and style, and we        |
|  release it in hopes of Joe's music being enjoyed by fans new and old.     |
|                                                                            |
|  Joe's personal style transcends genre as the songs on this album range    |
|  from heartfelt acoustic guitar tunes to songs that are highly             |
|  reminiscent of Joe's days with the Dead Milkmen. Originally released on   |
|  home produced cassettes, these songs have been performed over the years   |
|  by various projects in Philadelphia and have become unforgettable to      |
|  those who have heard them. This album features the voice and guitar work  |
|  loved by fans of the Dead Milkmen but explored on a deeper and more       |
|  personal level. Catchy arrangements of instruments bring to mind the      |
|  Beatles, Tom Waits, Daniel Johnston and Joe's lyrical style is of course  |
|  much like the Dead Milkmen.                                               |

|  This is an amazing album of acoustic, punk, and rock music from an        |
|  amazing musician whose been active in and out of the spotlight for over   |
|  twenty years.                                                             |
