The first growth release, out in Feb 2003, is a split 12" :::::::::
between Lief Ryan (Growth founder) and Stockholm's techno :::::::::
girl Cynthia Stern (owner of "Input - Output - Inc"). :::::::::

Lief Ryan :::::::::
Lief has a long history as a techno DJ playing mainly in :::::::::
the UK and Spain where he had residencies in Barcelona :::::::::
clubs, Metropol, Moog and his own Uptone Club. In :::::::::
Barcelona he founded Newtone records with producer Xavier :::::::::
Roman, then in 2002 moved to Manchester where he set up :::::::::
Growth Recordings. Having previously released tracks under :::::::::
his DJ pseudonym, Twitch, he now releases under his own :::::::::
name and his own label, Growth Recordings. :::::::::

Cynthia Stern :::::::::
Cynthia's creativity first gained an outlet as a painter :::::::::
and DJ with Stockholm's U.E.S. (Urban Electro Squad) :::::::::
graffiti collective. But by the time U.E.S. started it's :::::::::
own label, Cynthia's interest in music had developed into :::::::::
music production. As well as helping to run the new U.E.S. :::::::::
label, Cynthia released two tracks in 1997 and 1998. Since :::::::::
working with Stockholm's U.E.S. label and arts collective, :::::::::
Cynthia has pursued her own brand of creativity by :::::::::
developing her record label, "Input - Output - Inc", while :::::::::
also creating and releasing her own music. Input - Output :::::::::
- Inc began with the release of "I love my 808" in 2000 :::::::::
and was followed by releases by many influential artists. :::::::::
With a successful label and several solo releases now :::::::::
behind her, Cynthia continues to develop innovative new :::::::::

Some say we have grown to a mature group now that we are 2 years :::::.
old. We will keep pumpin out nice electronic music releases like ::::::
we have done for the past 2 years :) So we guess there is nothing ::::::
more to say than this: ::::::

The artists we deal with are not rock stars. They don't pretend ::::::
to be 'the man'. They're not part of the establishment, the multi- ::::::
million dollar music business. So the only way our scene can stay ::::::
alive is through undying support for the artists and labels. *THIS* ::::::
is the sole reason we release music... ::::::
::::::
So for fuck's sake, if you like what your hear, go to your local ::::::
record shop and purchase a copy of your own. It's your duty! Only ::::::
through this process we can all continue to enjoy techno music to ::::::
the fullest. As far as our releases go, if you can get hold of them, ::::::
be happy and treasure them. Don't start posting to public domains ::::::
or sources!! This will eventually result in a more restricted ::::::
distribution of our releases, possibly even only internal... ::::::
The choice is yours... ::::::
