      ███▓ "Here's a beautiful debut from the dark entity  ▓█
      ███▓ Knox Om Pax from the deep-underground label     ▓█
      ███▓ Destructive Industries. This is the label's     ▓█
      ███▓ first release and it's an impressive start,     ▓█
      ███▓ with a collection of eerie chamber-doom music   ▓█
      ███▓ that floats on a sea of delay and reverb,       ▓█
      ███▓ voiceless and minimalist as it drifts through   ▓█
      ███▓ crumbling city streets and dark, overcast       ▓█
      ███▓ skies. While it's only 20 minutes long,         ▓█
      ███▓ Laudanum still totally captivated me with it's  ▓█
      ███▓ six tracks of chilly instrumental arrangements, ▓█
      ███▓ composed from droning, folky cellos, spare      ▓█
      ███▓ piano melodies, and rumbling reverb drenched    ▓█
      ███▓ ambience. Some of the stringed instrument       ▓█
      ███▓ sounds are run through some kind of delay that  ▓█
      ███▓ creates a trippy, echoing effect; and the final ▓█
      ███▓ title track is a real beauty, with a            ▓█
      ███▓ heartbreaking violin creeping over deep         ▓█
      ███▓ orchestral thrum...it's like a darker version   ▓█
      ███▓ of Amber Asylum minus the angelic female        ▓█
      ███▓ vocals, playing eternally sad folk melodies     ▓█
      ███▓ from Eastern Europe and combining them with a   ▓█
      ███▓ cavernous, Lustmordian heaviness."              ▓█
