Happy Halloween... here's a trick of a treat for all you trance
fiends, the rare album by Solar Quest. You might be familiar with
the name from their massive anthem "Acid Air Raid", which was very
popular several years ago and just got a recent remix by Choci late
last year. Well, if you thought "Acid Air Raid" was unstoppable,
wait until you hear "Harmonation". It's a 22 minute long POUNDER,
tweaking those 303s into positions only the Kama Sutra could have
dreamt up. The flip side is an ambient reworking of the main melody,
with several cool atmospheric effects overlaid throughout. However,
it's pretty unfortunate -- the fellow I bought this record from
_really_ didn't take care of it, and so there are lots of crackles
and pops throughout. It's not too disturbing with "Harmonation",
but pretty aggravating at certain parts in "Revelation"; in fact,
I had to excise the first minute and a half due to obnoxious skips.
Thankfully it was only a Namlook-esque pad hold and release. ;)
Anyhow, you know what I say -- turn it up loud, and D.A.N.C.E.!
And a happy Halloween to you all... well, all of you reading this,
