L'auteure-compositrice-interprete Anik Jean avait
beaucoup fait jaser avec son premier album, Le
Trashy Saloon. Elle nous offre enfin un nouvel
opus, Le ciel saigne le martyre. Les textes solides
et accrocheurs sont portes par des guitares
puissantes et un son resolument rock. Par ailleurs,
la piece Oh mon cheri , qui donne le ton de
l'album, connait deja un enorme succes a la radio.

Apres un premier opus aux cotes de Jean Leloup, Le
Trashy saloon, une prestation au Centre Bell en
premiere partie des Rolling Stones, Anik Jean n'a
plus de limite devant elle. C'est donc en compagnie
de Mark Plati (realisateur pour: Bowie, Bashung,
Rita Mitsouko, pour ne nommer que ceux-la) qu'elle
fignole son deuxieme album Le ciel saigne le
martyre. La rockeuse collabore donc avec Earl
Slick, musicien de David Bowie, idole de son
enfance. Avec le succes de son premier extrait Oh
mon cheri, Anik Jean nous revient armee d'une
assurance et d'une maturite inegalees.
Her first album, Le trashy saloon, she collaborated
with Jean Leloup, landed an opening for the Rolling
Stones at the Bell Centre, Anik Jean has definitely
pushed herself to the limit. She recorded her
second album Le ciel saigne le martyre with Mark
Plati (the man behind Bowie, Bashing and Les Rita
Mitsouko to name a few). Anik worked with her
lifetime idol Earl Slick, one of David Bowie's
musicians. Anik Jean comes back full of confidence
and maturity. Her 1st single Oh mon cheri is
already a hit and has been in the BDS Top 5 for the
last 3 weeks.
