. .
. Raheem drops like Phuture and Mr Fingers in a cramped flat .
. in Chicago, at 3am in the morning alone with just a 303 .
. and a 909 for company recording onto an old c90 tape, raw .
. and extremely stripped old skool acid is the flavour of .
. this 8 tracker. .
. .
. With just the odd voice sample appearing in certain tracks .
. and some Adonis style drum programming, its the only .
. garnish Raheem allows on his tracks. Check ‘The tool’ for .
. those classic Trax drums, a little bit of distortion, and .
. some surface noise for the authentic feel. .
. .
. Also the solid acid of ‘Gotta have the Pokey’ runs loops .
. through your head, and the bleep techno of ‘Slip Me’ just .
. finishes the back to basics feel perfectly. .
